KATHLEEN (KAT) KENNY is a self-employed teaching artist and the Improv Director & Education Director at Bob Carter’s Actor’s Rep in West Palm Beach, FL where she’s been teaching short-form and long-form improvisation to improvisers of all levels and all ages for the past 10 years as well as acting/audition preparation for over 15 years. She currently plays with multiple improv teams and also has her lotto show Get Lucky with Kat. She often guests with local improv teams and loves doing as many fests as time allows.
She received her B.F.A. in acting from the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah and is a graduate of the UCB Training Center in NYC. She also studied with Charna Halpern, Tara Defrancisco & Jason Shotts when she took the I.O Intensives in Miami. She has had multiple classes with Susan Messing, David Razowsky, and Joe Bill as well as workshops with many other improvisers who excel at their craft.
She coaches many local improv teams and is proud to have performed and taught workshops at the numerous festivals in the state of Florida as well as the Improv U Improv Cruise and the Skyline Improv Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kat has also worked with Arts 4 All of Palm Beach County for over 10 years teaching acting, improv, and musical theatre to differently-abled people of all ages.
Kat is so happy that she’s able to do what she does for a living. Not only because it brings her great joy but because she’s not sure she’d be very good at anything else.
